Fourteen of the world's most beautiful pheasants are represented in the paintings. The artist, Dr. J. C. Harrison, is an internationally acclaimed artist. He has illustrated some of the most important books on pheasants ever published, including Jean Delacour's "Pheasants of the World" and Philip Wayre's "A Guide To The Pheasants of the World," among others.
