The Green Peacock is a billiantly colored bird that is larger and more

erect in its bearing than other peafowl species. Green peacocks have

longer legs, a longer neck, and richer color than its cousin, the Blue

Peacock. The are three subspecies of the Green: the Javanese Green

Peafowl Pavo muticus muticus; the Indo-Chinese Green Peafowl Pavo

muticus imperator; and the Burmese Green Peafowl Pavo muticus

spicifer. You'll find great information and pictures of all the different

peacocks in each edition of the the magazine for peacock breeders,

the Game Bird And Conservationists Gazette. Return to peacock
